She seeks to create an environment where every child has a say in the way the classroom is managed to ensure everyone has what they need to thrive and succeed.

A nature lover, Erica stays busy visiting Indiana states parks as often as she can in her quest to visit all of them. She has a background in Early Childhood Education and homeschooling her children and passionately challenges everyone to become ecoliterate. She believes that if children learn to love and appreciate nature, they will grow up to be adults who take care of the natural world.

Mom of six living on a small hobby farm, Erin homeschooled for about 15 years and has been a foster parent for 10 years. She brings experience in nursing and working with special needs children. She enjoys hot yoga, working in her garden and spending time at the beach. Being able to watch her kids grow and prosper at their rate and abilities has been one of her favorite memories because they each learn so differently.
